Kilimanjaro, TZ – Lishe Bora provides knowledge to children for opening up their path towards sustainable living – May 2023

Children, teachers, parents of Kisuluni primary schools in Mkyashi, Tanzania, in collaboration with Lishe Bora managed to start a banana growing program in school. The program has benefited mostly the children to have their daily breakfast servings at school, which was not the case before when many children were not given access to food at schools during school days.

Children are observed to be missing receiving some knowledge on best practices for banana growing from their parents, so Lishe Bora is working hard on improving best practice knowledge to children that can assure continuous harvesting for both feeding of the children and also income generation which is the key to sustainability of the Grow-own-Breakfast program.
