Utete, TZ – MTM Family Garden – 9 Dec 2013

The MTM family continues to maintain one of the best gardens in Kindwitwi. Their garden is producing like we hope all gardens will eventually produce. They are currently harvesting okra, leafy greens, and beans. Their eggplants are flowering and we expect them to be growing well in the next couple of weeks. The success of this garden is directly connected to the hard work the MTM family has put into it.

They continue to fight the normal challenges in Kindwitwi – grasshoppers and chickens are their primary disturbances – and we are confident that once community-wide solutions are established this garden will continue to produce at a high level.
