Utete, TZ – OSM family garden – 11 Oct 2013

The OSM family members are harvesting their cabbage, Chinese cabbage and mchicha.  Their mung beans are also almost ready to harvest.  Their garden’s insect repelling plants are thriving and Mama OSM enjoys drinking lemongrass tea each morning.

Her mchicha has struggled towards the end of its growing cycle, which she has been attributed to a phosphorous deficiency.  The KCM team plan to help her add bat guano to her beds as a  source of phosphorous.
