Utete, TZ – AMN family garden – 11 Oct 2013

AMN or Bibi shamba (agricultural expert) as some of the local Kindwitwians call her is having great  success with her garden.  Her garden was used to qualify four other families for the cassava loan and she has continued to expand her garden beyond the standard 16M x 6M size.

She is currently harvesting mchicha, tomatoes, and eggplant.  She expects her African eggplant to be ready to harvest this month.

The sun is very hot in Kindwitwi this time of year so she is being vigilant with her mulch application and watering.
