Utete, TZ – OSM and OTM family gardens – 2 Aug 2013

OSM and OTM are best friends living in Kindwitwi village.  OTM did not have the land for a garden but OSM had enough room for two, so they decided to build their gardens together so that they would be connected.  Having gardens in groups is good because the families can help each other tend to them and share improvements and best practices.

Both mamas decided to plant eggplant, matembele (potato leaves), mchicha, mung beans, tomatoes, onions, and sweet potatoes in their gardens.
