Kikondo, UG – Wamukisa Adds new Family BGB – 15 January 2017

Wamukisa helped the BGB family establish a 3 bed organic vegetable garden and progress on their path to food and income self-reliance.

The BGB family consists of Mr. and Mrs. BGB and their 3 boys. They have attended all of the Wamukisa trainings and qualified to receive assistance building their garden. Their new 3-bed garden has the potential to provide them with a daily source of nutritious vegetables. Having a nearby food source means they won’t need to rely on local markets which can be pricey depending on the season.

Having a reliable source of vegetables will help Mrs. BGB ensure her growing boys receive the nutrition they need. Mrs. BGB will also reduce her weekly food bill because she won’t need to purchase vegetables at the market.

Mrs. BGB is still looking for ways to improve the family’s income. She hopes the training sessions Wamukisa provides will assist her in this mission.

Mrs. BGB wants to start a piggery project if she can save enough money.
