Moshe, TZ – Continuous mentoring about sustaining love and care for our children has built a new caring spirit within the Kahe Community – Mar 2025
15 years ago, before Tupendane started assisting the Kahe community, the Love and Care Spirit for the children was vey low. We believed it was contributed to by lack of parental education.
Tupendane has been continuously mentoring new knowledge and skills through seminars and training meetings, which aim to improve the understanding of how important it is for the community to own their responsibilities towards the love and caring for children. Doing the small things within their capacities to assist their children to grow up healthy and educated creates a better future for all. We are now witnessing some positive changes. For example, the flooding challenge at Mwangaria Primary School, which broke the school kitchen early this year. This problem caused the school children to miss their daily meals some days.

Tupendane provided leadership and organized the parents to come out and volunteer their labor and resources to start rebuilding of the kitchen so that the cook could resume her normal routine of preparing meals for the children every school day. The parents’ energy was very high, and their work has enabled the cook to once again feed the children, who are now enjoying their daily meals again. This is a good message that the community spirit towards feeding their children has increased so much. The parents are really taking ownership of their responsibilities according to their personal capacities.
With this high energy from the parents, we hope our funding partners will be happy to join the parents by providing financial assistance to do the remaining work for the kitchen to become properly rebuilt as a sustainable solution. As the pictures shows, the kitchen still needs to be worked on!
