Kilimanjaro, TZ – Feed children today for our own better society of tomorrow – Jan 2023

Education is one item which plays a key contribution to the wellbeing of our Mkyashi village in Kilimanjaro.
Lishe bora identify a gap in the Kisuluni primary school in terms of the academic performance, attendance and children enrollment from the village to the schools in the area.

In 2022 we decided to be part of the collaboration team with other available efforts from parents, teachers local government and our volunteer partners from Betterlives and True Adventure from UK to assist the children grow their own breakfast by introducing vegetable and banana gardens into the schools and manage to contribute to the every school day meals of the 80 children and the teachers at Kisuluni primary school.

Together with prevailing happiness always marked on the children faces we have also being able to noticed an academic performance shoot up from 6 children with grade D in 2021 to only 1 child in the end of 2022.
Attendance in 2021 was on average of 95% and now is 98% while the number of children in 2022 was 80 and as we are still enroll for this year we are already at 83 children hope to get up to 90 children at the end of the month which implies a significant change to the surrounding community towards exposing their children to education.
We believe this trend is going to impact the whole wellbeing of our future society by creating more productive and peacefully people through education.

We are admitting an existing of a low level contribution of corn and beans from the parents and we took it as a challenge as its based from the poverty levels of different families in the area. We look forward to continue work with our partners like Betterlives and True Adventure from UK on see how best increase banana and vegetable production to substitute for the corn and beans shortage.
