Utete, TZ – HSN is very grateful to KCM for a Rent-To-Own motorcycle loan – 30 Nov 2022
The Rent-To-Own motorcycle loan has enabled HSN to start a people and packages delivery service in his community of Kindwitwi and the neighboring towns that is earning him a predictable income. His family thanks KCM for trusting him enough to fund a Rent-To-Own motorcycle loan for a delivery service in the community and local towns so he can earn a predictable income.
HSN says “I have been inspired by the KCM programs since I was young at KLCCDA kindergarten eating green vegetables produced by KCM, and now I volunteer to assist with growing vegetables for the childrens’ breakfast. Moreover Dickson and my mother Asha assisted me with business knowledge and mentoring, which impacts the sustainable growth of my business sales which now pays for 60,000 TZS running costs, 120,000 TZS loan repayments, and 50,000 TZS for my take home salary every two weeks.”
HSN is growing his business through community marketing, swapping contacts with reliable customers, and customers’ referral to a new customer for passenger or parcel delivery to their homes, schools, hospitals, markets or bus stations.
Despite this business being only three months old, it has become famous in and outside Rufiji district because HSN is among engaged families who volunteer their time to assist KCM in gardening productions to sustain school children feedings and needy families in the communities. This enabled him to earn good revenue and pay 150,000 TZS for a driving course training for the country road signs and regulation policies, and receive a driving license and certificate which will add more opportunities for the growth of his business and revenue in the future.
HSN says “unstable petroleum prices challenge my business due to often changing delivery’s cost per trip. I do educate and negotiate with my customers based on distance, fuel costs, and road condition that leads to constant motorcycle maintenance, so I can sustain my business’s lifecycle.”
HSN’s top dream is to complete paying off his motorcycle loan by 14th June 2023 so he owns his motorcycle and can contribute more income to VICOBA savings for building his own comfortable family house. That way he can leave his mother’s house, so his brother Omari and Grandma have more space, and he can offer a better and brighter life for his future children’s lives in his own house.
