Battambang, KH – Rent-to-Own makes a new home possible – 31 Mar 2018
The CP family home has been badly damaged by termites, and it needs to be repaired or replaced. Therefore, the family has decided to rent-to-own a new home on their own land. All the family are very excited and happy with the idea of living in an improved home.
They are able to afford this because CP has been earning a regular income working for the garden shop, while his wife has earned some income from selling seasonal fish. CP has also raised two cattle which are valued at around $1,500. He had been planning to keep them for a year then sell them to pay for a major cost such as building a new home.
Instead of building, they have decided to Rent to Own because it will provide a more secure and comfortable place to live and study for the children. A connection to the state electricity supply will give the children light at night, which will enable them to study. A secure and comfortable home is a major dream for everyone, so the CP family is very much looking forward to having such a home.
They currently spend their income on living costs and their children’s education. They have not been paying rent, so they are concerned about having enough money to continue to support their six children’s. However, they are committed to find ways to increase their income so that they can afford to rent the new home and continue to pay for their children’s education.
