Battambang, KH – HPH family earn profit from pig fattening micro-loan – 11 Nov 2016
HPH and his wife earned US$330 from selling two pigs at the local market. The money from the pig loan went to paying for their three children’s school fees and to savings for buying a cow.
HPH received a loan from the Healthy Life Garden shop for two piglets which they fattened up to be 100kg each. They were able to sell them for US$2.50 per kg and earn a gross profit of US$500! After repaying the loan they were able to net US$330.
They dream of improving their home and saving up to buy a cow in order to increase their assets. It is their hope that one day they will be able to send their children to University.
