Utete, TZ – Laptop loan helps eldest daughter pursue dream of studying math and science – 20 Oct 2016

The OMM family’s oldest daughter, Acheni, will be starting her final year of secondary school with the right equipment to be successful. The family received a loan for a laptop computer, which Acheni will need for her final year of secondary school. The final year of secondary school is critical to determining whether or not students get accepted to attend university.

The OMM family has already received and fully repaid 2 small business loans for their general store. For their third loan they request funds for a laptop computer for their daughter, Acheni. Acheni is in her final year of secondary school and she is hoping to be accepted into university to study math and science courses. Students at the boarding school she attends are given assignments which much be completed on the computer. If students don’t have their own computer they have to use the school’s shared computers. During final assignments, this is nearly impossible.

Acheni will finish classes in July and she will know by the end of 2017 where she has been accepted to university.
