Siem Reap, KH – Family learns the joys and benefits of growing vegetables – 31 Mar 2015

Mr. CMC is a 42 year old man living in Peaksneng with this wife and two daughters. The family is maintaining an organic vegetable garden and enjoying fresh vegetables every day. The vegetables improve their health, reduce their food bill, and sometimes they even have extra vegetables to sell.

Mr. CMC first requested a garden when he saw his brother, CWC, maintaining a garden. He was inspired to see that the garden provided benefits to the family year-round. Now, the entire family enjoys tending the garden together.

The family’s main challenge is that Mr. CMC’s mother is going to start living on their property. They are happy she will be close to them, but they’re not sure that they will have enough land. Mr. CMC’s mother insists on using part of their property to plant bananas, papayas, and other local fruits. She may insist on using their vegetable-growing area for this.

Their dream is to have a bigger plot of land to accommodate vegetable gardens, fruit gardens, and even livestock.
