Caba, PH – School vegetable gardens – 30 Nov 2013
The Happy Shop Team built new vegetable gardens in the grounds of three mountain elementary schools called San Gregorio, San Cornelio and Donia Antonia.
San Gregorio was built November 22, 2013 on a nice and flat 30m x 10m open area that is the equivalent to three standard 100 square meter Food Always In The Home (FAITH) family Gardens. The team planted string beans, mongo and okra.
San Cornelio has limited space, so the team prepared and planted 6 of 1m x 6m beds in different locations around the school grounds. They planted string beans, okra and pechay.
Donia Antonia’s garden was built November 26-27, 2013 with the most varieties of vegetables! Like San Cornelio, the vegetables are in different locations throughout the school grounds. The team, teacher, and school children planted string beans, pechay, tomato, eggplant, okra and upo in twelve 1m x 6m raised beds.
