Moshi, TZ – ZPM family garden – 11 Oct 2013

The Tupendane garden team helped the ZPM family start a garden during the week of 11 October 2013.  The children enjoyed preparing the soil for the garden, which will be able to support the family of six all year round.  Their mother has a handicapped leg, but she is very enthusiastic about the new garden and wants to look after it.

The family planted:

• 2 beds Chinese cabbage
• 2 beds kale
• 2 beds cabbage
• 1 bed ngogwe (African eggplant)
• 1 bed okra
• 1 bed eggplant
• 1 bed green peppers
• 2 beds empty ready to relay plant
