Utete,TZ – OPN2 family garden – 20 Sep 2013

OPN is an experienced corn farmer and mother of six children.  When she saw her sister’s vegetable garden, she was very excited and immediately marched to the garden shop to apply for help with  starting a garden of her own!

The garden shop helped the OPN family plant:

• 2 beds mchicha
• 1 bed tomatoes and onions
• 2 beds Chinese cabbage and cabbage
• 1 bed eggplant and African eggplant
• 4 beds mung beans
• 2 beds empty and ready for future relay planting

OPN and her family are very excited about the prospect of eating fresh vegetables everyday!
