Utete, TZ – Kindwitwi garden shop update – 31 Jul 2013

Starting a model garden is a pivotal step in creating demand for the vegetable gardens throughout the community and surrounding area.  The garden should be visible, organized, productive and a good example of the gardening practices.  The Prosperity garden shop turned a once barren area of the village into a compost manufacturing area and excellent model garden!

Many people from Kindwitwi and surrounding villages came to see the garden.  Some of the villagers were a little skeptical about the size and productivity of the 100 square meter garden at first, but after seeing how well the garden grew and the benefits received from it, they decided to apply for help starting their own gardens.
