Moshi, TZ – MHK family garden update – 1 Aug 2013

The always jolly, MHK and his garden had some major issues with chickens entering his garden after this picture was taken.  Chickens like to eat young seedlings and leafy vegetables like Chinese cabbage and kale.

MHK responded by building a fence with sticks collected locally and then draping it with banana leaves to keep the chickens out.  Fences are good for not only keeping animals out of the garden, but also for keeping the garden organized within a 100 square meter space.
