Last year, a UK school visit to the local community organization called KCM, contributed to international collaboration and made a tangible difference including building of a new comfortable kitchen for preparing the kindergarten children’s breakfast. The new kitchen design prioritizes air flow circulation, which is important for the health of the cooks. With the addition of more students and a growing reputation, FRRTL is clearly becoming a trusted institution in the area, encouraging even more families to enroll their children. The projected enrollment to 60 students this year is a testament to the school’s growing impact. The kindergarten is making education smoother, less exhausting, and enjoyable for students who join class one!
KCM is now going to start an organic breakfast program with a new Primary School that has been built within the Kindwitwi community. The school will be launched in March this year to save students’ time and energy, when walking 3 to 4 KM from their homes in Kindwitwi to nearby Siasa or Katundu primary schools.
KCM is collaborating with the local government leaders and the constructor to set a gardening infrastructure to continue the breakfast program at this new school. This will make the students continue receiving breakfast services on a daily basis so they can be attentive in class and enjoy their education.
