Utete, TZ – ASM hopes to assist Kindwitwi Village families with money transaction services – Apr 2024

ASM family business is making one step at a time, believing Vicoba savings and sesame harvests benefits would change his life by launching money transactions services in Nyanda village to make people’s life easier, happier, and enjoyable.

During the solar system and phone card marketing and registration in Nyanda, ASM experienced mobile money transaction challenges in his village with a very fast growing population due to non residents farmers visiting purposely for investments and land hire for commercial growing of rice, sesame and cashew.

The Vicoba saving benefits assisted ASM family to trade gasoline alongside the main road by building a small KIOSKI to place petroleum bottles for selling to vehicle transporters . It also assisted investing in farming sesame with expectation hopes that the harvests sales will provide enough capital to launch money transaction business by August this year.

However, unlike other years since independence, this year rainfall caused the Rufiji river to overflow and the floods destroyed fields including ASM’s two acres of sesame, with expected harvest of 450Kgs at a loss of approximately 900,000 TZS. Therefore, ASB plan is to use KCM and VVF Vicoba savings benefits to access a loan to make his business dream happen for a sustainable income and savings for a comfortable family house and children’s education in their lives.
