Kilimanjaro, TZ – Kisuluni primary school’s creative water supply – Feb 2024
Lishe Bora is proud of being able to build a low cost local built gravity irrigation system at Kisuluni primary school, which feeds a covered water tank.
This achievement has created more energy in the community to work harder in an easier and more effective way to produce more vegetables and bananas to be harvested in a sustainable way to feed more than 86 children each school day.
The next plan now after having enough water at the school is to produce more for commercial gardens, which in turn will create income for covering running expenses in future and hence more sustainability.
Lishe Bora is looking for a better way to find other resources like manure and others to facilitate more production quicker and in right amounts for both commercial and feeding harvests.
