Soil Nourishment
Helping families nourish soil so that it will organically feed vegetable plants that will grow to feed families in a nutritious, chemical free, and sustainable manner. Nourishing the soil will help maximize the soil’s productivity while minimizing the work to care for the soil and plants.
This is done by using best practices for building and maintaining raised garden beds with compost and rice hull charcoal, protecting them from extreme weather, and planting them in a way that maintains the soil’s fertility.
Our local partners help impoverished families build and maintain their garden beds by providing tools, materials, and services that include qualifying, training, building assistance and on-going mentoring for the families.
This work is made possible by donations for the tools, materials and services.
