Utete, TZ – Loan group continues repayments on dairy cow – Oct 22 2014

The Kindwitwi Mama’s Cow Group is continuing to make repayments on their small business loan. In September the group made 190,250 TZS (US $118.90)  selling milk at 1,000 TZS (US $0.63) per liter. They returned 135,100 TZS (US $84.44) of their loan and were left with 55,150 TZS (US $34.47) to save for future project expenses.

The group is targeting to have their loan repaid in early 2015. Once the loan is repaid they will be able to invest project income in other projects and use it at home. All three mamas in the group are eagerly awaiting this time!
