Caba, PH – DET family visit – 12 Apr 2013

The DET family parents have taken a lot of care over the garden, and have been able to earn and save some money by selling surplus vegetables.  They have used these savings for their home improvement priorities.  The picture below illustrates the development of their home, from light bamboo to concrete blocks and bamboo.

The family have not encountered problems with their garden, and it is flourishing.  They are still producing enough vegetables to feed their family and also to sell upo, string beans and other vegetables to their neighbors.

There is good local demand for their organically grown vegetables because they taste so good and have not had chemicals sprayed on them!
