Battambang – No underground water found – 27 Feb 2013

The P K family garden needs a water source during the dry season.

The well driller used a manual drilling machine with a sharp head and water pushing the dislodged dirt up out of the hole.  He drilled 25 meters down but did not find water because the first layer of earth did not change.  It was clay all the way down.  The well driller normally drills through layers of clay, sand, and small rock to find water.

During the dry season there is no shallow water near the P K family vegetable garden, but a nearby family has a 400 square meter reservoir that P K family will be able to pump water from into a holding tank that the well digger will build.
