Kilimanjaro, TZ – Water project – 31 Jan 2014

In November, SAWA visited Better Lives’ projects in the Kilimanjaro region. The goal of the visits was to understand the water needs of the Kilema and Kahe communities. Most of the time was spent in Kilema, where water is posing a more serious problem for vegetable gardeners. SAWA conducted a needs analysis comparing existing water infrastructure with the wants and needs of the community. A community meeting was held and SAWA pledged to provide whatever follow-up support was necessary for the community.
