Utete, TZ – MTM family garden – 11 Oct 2013

The KCM garden shop helped the MTM family start a garden the week of 11 October 2013.  Mr. MTM’s oldest son is a garden shop team member, and Mr MTM is occasionally contracted by the shop to help with various tasks.  The team were very happy to help the family build a garden that is expected to continuously supply the family with vegetables.

The MTM family decided to plant:

  • 2 beds eggplant and african eggplant
  • 2 beds mchicha (amaranth)
  • 2 beds tomatoes and onions
  • 4 beds mung beans
  • 2 beds ready to relay plant

The family members have wanted a garden since the program started and are looking forward to reaping the health and income benefits of growing fresh vegetables.
