Ngara, TZ – LJF home improvements determine a brighter future for their family – Oct 2025
LJF, a dedicated school cook at Mukibogye Primary School, spends his mornings serving breakfast to pupils and his free time running a small poultry business.
Through hard work, In 2023 LJF started a savings plan in the TVG Village Community Banking (VICOBA) group after starting a chicken business. Early January this year, he earned TZS 2.9 million from his savings and dividends, which he used to start building a comfortable sustainable home for his family as a symbol of stability, dignity, and progress for his wife and children.
Now, the house is standing nearly complete. To finish the final phase, LJF needs just TZS 2.2 million to install doors, windows, power, water, flooring, and painting decorations.
LJF strongly believes that every person deserves access to land, clean water, a decent home, good health, quality education for their children, and a sustainable livelihood. He is showing how commitment, savings, and entrepreneurship can transform lives and empower families to achieve a sustainable future.
