Battambang, KH – CP family cares for their productive vegetable garden – Sep 2025

Mrs CP has successfully started a new vegetable garden, which has proven to be productive. Some of the vegetables are used for daily household consumption, improving food security, and she has also been able to sell part of the harvest to generate income.

The current rainy season has made the soil very wet, which is difficult for planting and seedling preparation. Due to these unfavorable ground conditions, Mr and Mrs CP are limited to planting only climbing vegetables such as long beans, gourds, and melons. They worry that reduced crop variety may affect both productivity and income potential.

Mrs CP is committed to continuing vegetable cultivation despite seasonal challenges. She aims to expand production in the future, with the hope of increasing income to support the children’s education and strengthen the family’s livelihood.
