Moshe, TZ – Planting seeds for life change – Jul 2025
The children and teachers of Kahe Primary School have continued to thrive through growing, harvesting, and feeding themselves during school days, thanks to the ongoing mentorship and support from the Tupendane team. These achievements have opened the door for a meaningful partnership between Kahe Primary School and Sutton Valence School in the UK.

In July, students and teachers from Sutton Valence visited Kahe Primary School for a four-day volunteering trip. During their stay, they generously contributed funding, knowledge, time, and labor. Together with Kahe’s children, parents, and teachers, they planted banana seedlings and vegetable seeds, renovated the children’s toilet blocks, roofed and floored the newly built kitchen, improved the irrigation system, and painted beautiful murals on classroom walls.

Beyond these tangible contributions, the visit fostered a rich cultural exchange, sharing of love, and transfer of knowledge and skills between the UK and Kahe communities. Less than a month after their departure, the fruits of their efforts are already visible. The vegetables planted are now being harvested, feeding the children daily, with surplus produce sold at the market to support the sustainability of the school’s feeding program.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Better Lives, True Adventure, and Sutton Valence for making all this possible. Our next projects at Kahe Primary include completing the kitchen, enhancing the learning and teaching environment, and improving the lives of our dedicated teachers.
