Many generations of students in the area of benefit from this garden. The predictable gardening system will ensure that many more students will benefit from their hard work.

Vegetables are an essential component of the breakfast delivery that the students receive daily. Along with the corn and beans from the school’s farming project. The students can study with a full stomach. Occasionally one of their many banana trees produces a bunch that can be split up amongst the students as well.

Maendeleo is looking for better ways to produce more bananas, but are limited in space due to the area needed for one bunch.

Fortunately, they will keep working the land they have and enjoy the knowledge that all their work is worthwhile.
