Battambang, KH – Grandparents want to invest for their grandchildren’s education – 20 Jan 2019

KJ dreams of investing in a small tractor called a “cow machine” so that he can earn the additional income needed to educate his grandchildren.

Jek and his wife are a new members of the Healthy Life Reinforcement garden shop’s home vegetable garden program. They have been working very hard to make their garden productive, planting lettuce, leafy salad and long bean. They are able to earn from US$10 to US$15 from each weekly harvest, which they use for family expenses and study materials for their grandchildren.

They they are living by planting vegetables and farming, and their income only contributes to some part of living cost and school expenses. Consequently, the Healthy Life Reinforcement garden shop provides seedlings, when JK needs to replant so that he can continue to grow vegetables.
